July 11th, 2011:

The tree at Diamond S Ranch has been removed!  Enjoy the River and this amazing season.  We will continue to update you on the river's conditions.

July 9th, 2011:

Attention:  There is a strainer on the Lower Eagle!  The tree is river left stuck on the Diamond S Ranch bridge, but not passable on the right.  We are working with the other companies and Fire Dept. to see if there is any way to take it off the pipe.  We will update you when the tree has moved.  Thanks and be safe out there.  WE have moved our Lower Eagle trips to Grizzly to South Canyon.  Which is still a great trip!

Hazards

June 27th, 2011:

The Eagle might be coming down.  As water levels continue to lower be aware of new features and changes in rapids.  This has been an amazing season so far and let's keep it as safe as possible.  The rivers have definitely changed in some spots.  The rapids are not the same as last year, scout like you have never seen it before.

June 7th, 2011 ** BE ADVISED Lower Eagle (4,650 cfs) Trestle Rapid bridge has 1 ft clearance (un-passable by raft) as well as Stone Bridge near mile marker 157 below Interstate Rapid is also less than 1 ft clearance as well.

June 6th, 2011:

The Eagle River is really moving now...

If you proceed with caution and safety the Eagle is a blast.  Commercial companies choose to move to the Middle Eagle when the Dowd Junction gauge is above 6 1/2 ft.  It is currently around 8 feet.  You cannot get under the railroad bridge from Gore Creek.  There has been no reports of any strainers or issues from Avon to Edwards.

NOTE: Below Edwards treatment plant to Eagle there are many issues with bridges.  The Tressel bridge and stonebridge are un-passable.  Please call our offices for any other information.

MAY 31st, 2011:

The river is coming up which is a blast for us commercial boaters.  We are keeping our eyes on a tree below interstate rapid.  We might do some preliminary cutting today, since by Thursday the temps will be coming up.

May 15th, 2011:

There is a large tree down that is river-wide on the Eagle River near Walmart.  Some of the local boaters are working to cut the tree and remove for safe boating today.  We will keep you updated.

May 13th, 2011:

The Eagle River as part of the Upper Colorado River basin shows that the snowpack exceeds that of last year as well as 2008 in which commercial rafting on the Eagle River extended well into July (18th for Lakota) when typically most move off near the end of June.
