LAKOTA GUIDES has been in the guide service business for 30 years. Our passion... the rivers and the mountains of central Colorado. Over the years, we have shared adventures with over 200,000 guests. 

Our staff of 40 guides are as diverse as the rivers we run. Each one is exceptional on and off the water. They are friendly pros having a love for rivers, mountains, and people.  Our raft guides are skiers, snowboarders, hikers, climbers, kayakers, mountain bikers, runners, students, and world travelers. College degrees run the spectrum from Business to Education and Environmental Studies to Engineering.

We are committed to your safety first.  Skill, experience, on-going training, and top quality equipment reflect this concern. Our staff trains far and above the state requirements in all aspects of river running. All are certified in 1st Aid and CPR, most are EMTs, and all of our guides are trained Swiftwater Rescue Technicians. Safety First! is our priority and this is evident with our raft trips of Class IV-V providing safety kayakers and complimentary wetsuits, splash jackets, neoprene booties and helmets. Some companies will nickel and dime you with these hidden charges, if it has to do with your well-being, comfort and safety, we'll provide it, FREE.
